Why go to Da Nang
Da Nang is Vietnam’s easy beach city. My Khe beach runs for kilometres right next to the hotels. Ba Na Hills, about an hour away, has the Golden Bridge held up by two giant stone hands. And Hoi An, a UNESCO World Heritage old town, is magical in the evening when the lanterns come on.
It’s a good choice for families and couples who want a beach holiday with a bit of culture.
Best time to visit Da Nang
February to May is the best time: dry, warm and before the peak heat. June to August is hot but mostly dry, and fine for the beach. September to December is the rainy season, and October and November can bring storms and flooding in Hoi An.

Da Nang visa for Indians
eVisaLast checked October 2026
Indian passport holders need a Vietnam e-visa, applied for online before you travel. It allows stays of up to 90 days, with single or multiple entry, and usually arrives within about three working days.
Many look-alike websites charge extra for the same e-visa. Use only the official government site.
Apply only on the official site, evisa.gov.vn, or through a trusted agent. Look-alike sites charge extra. Rules change, so check again before you book.
Flight time and fares from Delhi
There’s no nonstop flight from Delhi to Da Nang right now (October 2026). Most people connect in Hanoi or Ho Chi Minh City, which lets you see a second city on the same trip. Bangkok, Singapore and Kuala Lumpur are other common stops. With one stop, the whole journey usually takes 8 to 12 hours.
Nonstop flights have run on this route before. If they come back, we’ll tell our members.
Getting from the airport
Da Nang airport is inside the city, 10 to 15 minutes from My Khe beach. Hoi An is about 45 minutes away by car, and most hotels can arrange a transfer.
How many days you need
Five days works well: two on the beach, one at Ba Na Hills, and at least one evening and a morning in Hoi An. Add Hue, the old imperial city, for a longer trip.
Food for Indian travellers
As in the rest of Vietnam, look for “chay” (vegetarian) restaurants. Hoi An has many. There are Indian restaurants in both Da Nang and Hoi An.
